Boise, Boy Do

Last week, my younger siblings had Spring Break and decided to head to Boise to enjoy the time off. Eric and I joined them on Friday and met them at the Discovery Center. It was the first time for all of us and we had so much fun! Though, I must say, that place can be a bit overwhelming! There is so much to do and try! But the fact that all the science experiments are hands-on is terrific! It makes it very interesting to learn. (Why aren't all science classes taught here??)


The D.C. also had an entire room dedicated to a miniature grocery store. This was a dream come true for Eric. He loves that kind of stuff and kept telling me "Mommy, it's just my size!" The cash register scanners even beeped when he scanned the UPC codes. I was even fascinated by the whole setup. He could've spent hours in there with the tiny carts, empty boxes/bottles of real products and the fake money!

Right outside of the Discovery Center were flocks of geese and ducks. My mom grabbed a couple bags of corn chips out of the car and we quickly became popular! They were so fun to watch and be around. And it was incredible how bold some of the birds were (seagulls not included; they're just irritatingly forward). :)

Later Friday night, Eric and I had planned on returning home - mostly because Gracie was supposed to get her stitches out Saturday morning - but Levi was gracious enough to help me out with that, so we stayed! Eric had seen Chuck E. Cheese commercials and had begged me to go every time. So, this time I could actually say yes! The 2 of us headed over and had a blast! And there were hardly any people there (especially for a weekend!) We had our pick of games/rides and won tons of tickets and the best part of all...Eric got to meet the mouse himself! He could hardly contain his excitement! I was so thrilled everything worked out.
